About the Role: As a Complex Care Support Worker in Durham, you’ll be working with individuals who have conditions such as brain injuries, spinal injuries, strokes, and other neurological or physical challenges. Your role will include, but is not limited to:

  • Personal Care: Assisting with daily tasks such as washing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Clinical Care: Administering medication, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining accurate care records.
  • Promoting Independence: Encouraging clients to maintain as much independence as possible in their daily lives.
  • Emotional Support: Providing companionship and reassurance to clients and their families.
  • Collaborative Care: Working alongside other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care plans.

About You: To be considered for this role, you’ll ideally have:

  • 12 months of experience in a complex care setting, particularly with individuals with neurological or physical conditions.
  • NVQ level 2 or 3 essential (related to healthcare).
  • A willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and nights, on a bank basis.
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle, as some clients may need support attending appointments or activities.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A caring, empathetic approach, with a passion for supporting others.
