What is Matchday+? You must be available to work Manchester City home matchdays, which are typically Saturdays, Sundays, or weekday evenings. Matchday shifts are the core requirement of the role. Staff who demonstrate reliability, professionalism and strong performance will be offered additional shifts outside of matchdays.
We are looking for professional and customer-focused Security Officers to support the operation of the Manchester City Stadium Store at the Etihad Campus. Working in one of the busiest retail environments in football, you will help provide a safe, secure and welcoming experience for supporters whilst protecting staff, stock and company assets.
Purpose of the Role- Provide a visible security presence within the store.
- Help create a safe and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues.
- Deter theft, anti-social behaviour and other security risks.
- Support store management with loss prevention and incident management.
- Represent retail partners and Manchester City FC professionally at all times.
- Monitoring customer and staff activity within the store.
- Conducting regular patrols of designated areas.
- Preventing and reporting theft, suspicious activity and security incidents.
- Assisting with crowd management during busy matchday periods.
- Completing incident reports and maintaining accurate records.
- Liaising with store management and stadium security teams when required.
- Providing excellent customer service and assisting supporters with general enquiries.
- Supporting emergency procedures and evacuations where necessary.
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard Licence (essential).
- Previous retail security experience preferred.
- Previous retail or customer service experience desirable.
- Strong communication skills and confident spoken English.
- Professional appearance and approach.
- Calm under pressure and able to deal with challenging situations appropriately.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with large crowds and high footfall.
- Matchday attendance is essential.
