We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solicitor to join a reputable debt recovery organisation. This role offers the chance to manage a diverse caseload, work collaboratively with clients and pursue legal recovery through various court processes. My client are leaders in the debt recovery sector operating for over 40 years supporting clients around the UK. Key responsibilities:
- Manage a defended caseload through a case management system.
- Review High Value or Complex pre-legal debts to assess suitability for legal action.
- Draft pleadings, witness statements and court bundles.
- Handle cases on the small claims, fast track and multi-track routes.
- Assess high-value or complex debts to determine suitability for legal action.
- Provide legal advice, assess recovery prospects and assist in resolving disputes.
- Handle bankruptcy and winding-up petitions.
- Manage return of goods claims and liaise with enforcement agencies.
Requirements:
- Must be either a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive.
- A law degree (or equivalent legal qualifications) and have previous practical experience of legal collection.
- Proven ability to manage a defended caseload, preferably on the Small Claims Track.
- Strong IT skills and the ability to adapt to new systems.
- Problem-solving skills and clear communication (written and verbal).
- Confidence in client interactions and working to performance targets.
