The Health & Safety Position requires:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Highly organised with strong planning and time-management skills, capable of effectively prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage constructively, maintain professional boundaries, and address issues effectively.
- A strong team player with the ability to build positive relationships, support colleagues, and contribute to a productive working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation and company policies.
- Attend daily site meetings and maintain regular communication with clients regarding health and safety documentation, compliance requirements, and site standards.
- Liaise weekly with the Ireland-based HSEQ Department to ensure alignment on health, safety, environmental, and quality matters.
- Prepare a Site Audit Schedule of safety Inspections
- Promote a Behavioural Safety Culture on site using Site Safety Inspections, Tool Box Talks and Continuous Improvement activities providing Workforce and Client with evidence and feedback
- Develop and maintain Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Safety Alerts and other health and safety documentation.
- Maintain accurate employee induction, training, and competency records.
- Work closely with Site Managers to ensure all health and safety documentation remains current and compliant.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences, and implement corrective actions where required.
- Support compliance with accredited ISO standards and maintain the company's management systems in collaboration with the Health & Safety Department.
- Prepare and manage site-specific health and safety documentation for the project
- Participate in training and professional development activities to maintain and enhance competency.
- Provide practical support and guidance on health and safety matters, addressing issues as they arise on site.
