  • Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe, compassionate and person-centred care that promotes dignity, choice and independence.
  • Support the people we support with personal care, including hygiene, dressing, nutrition, mobility and daily living activities.
  • Encourage the people we support to remain as independent as possible and participate in meaningful activities and engagement.
  • Build positive relationships with the people we support, their families and colleagues, providing companionship and emotional support.
  • Monitor the health and wellbeing of the people we support and promptly report any concerns or changes to an appropriate senior colleague.
  • Maintain accurate care records and complete required documentation, including food and fluid charts and other daily records.
  • Respond promptly to call systems and provide support in a caring and professional manner.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Follow infection prevention and control, health and safety and safeguarding procedures at all times.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment throughout the service.

Previous experience in care or an SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided.

This role requires PVG Scheme membership (or willingness to obtain), SSSC registration (or willingness to obtain) and satisfactory references in line with Safer Recruitment guidance.
