Leisure Attendant / Reception Assistant

Key Responsibilities

  • Reception & Customer Service
  • Welcome and assist visitors, clients, and guests in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Manage reception duties, including answering telephone calls and responding to enquiries.
  • Handle bookings, appointments, and customer payments where required.
  • Provide information regarding pool sessions, services, and facility rules.
  • Facility Cleaning & Housekeeping
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the hydrotherapy pool facility.
  • Clean and sanitise changing rooms, showers, toilets, and communal areas.
  • Wash down and disinfect baby changing facilities and equipment.
  • Ensure cleaning schedules are completed and documented accurately.
  • Report maintenance issues or health and safety concerns promptly.
  • Pool Operations
  • Carry out routine water quality testing in accordance with operational procedures.
  • Monitor and record pool chemical levels and report any irregularities.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe environment for all pool users.
  • Follow all health and safety, infection prevention, and hygiene procedures.

  • Basic IT skills for reception and record-keeping duties.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a leisure, hospitality, healthcare, or customer service environment.
  • Knowledge of pool plant operations and water testing procedures.
  • First Aid qualification (or willingness to undertake training).
  • Pool Plant Operator qualification (training may be provided for the right candidate).
