Join a studio shaping the future of cities, communities, and places. Prior + Partners is growing. We’re seeking talented Masterplanners and Urban Designers with 4 to 10 years’ experience to join our team in London, and contribute across a wide range of high-profile regeneration and masterplanning projects in the UK and internationally. We are building a team with a diverse range of complementary skills and are looking for experienced designers who can help lead in shaping and delivering complex projects.
We are an integrated team of urban designers, architects, planners, place economists and public realm specialists. Together, we help unlock the potential of places through holistic thinking—shaping spatial strategies, delivering masterplans, and creating places that lead to real, lasting change.
About You
You are likely to be mid-career, with a strong foundation in masterplanning or urban design and a growing portfolio of built or strategic work. We’re looking for curious, skilled designers who can contribute to both strategic thinking and hands-on design delivery, while also supporting and mentoring junior team members.
You should be able to demonstrate experience in:
- Housing-led and mixed-use masterplanning
- Place visions and strategic growth frameworks
- Outline planning applications and design coding
- Collaborating within multi-disciplinary teams
We are particularly interested in candidates who bring one or more of the following:
- A background in architecture (RIBA Part 2 or equivalent), urban design or landscape architecture
- Strong visual, spatial and graphic communication skills
- Confidence in design thinking and storytelling—at both city scale and human scale
- Computational and parametric design skills (e.g. Grasshopper, Kangaroo, Rhino, AutoCAD)
- GIS and spatial data analysis capabilities (e.g. ArcGIS, QGIS)
- Visualisation expertise using tools such as Midjourney, Enscape, Lumion, Twinmotion, V-Ray etc
- Familiarity with collaborative tools such as Adobe CC and Miro
We value applicants who demonstrate strength in either design creativity or technical rigour—or ideally, both. We also welcome those who may not tick every box but bring a thoughtful, proactive approach and a commitment to learning and growing.

- Build a career rooted in context-led design—we are committed to sustainability, urban equity, and design that meaningfully reflects local culture and nature.
- Contribute to projects at multiple scales—whether developing national spatial strategies or shaping detailed neighbourhood frameworks, you’ll engage in work that is both visionary and grounded.
- Be part of an integrated, multi-disciplinary team—urban designers, planners, economists, and landscape architects collaborate to shape outcomes together and learn from one another.
- Participate in thought leadership and professional discourse—our team contributes to events, panels, and research that help advance the practice of urbanism.
- Work in a flexible hybrid environment—we offer a minimum of three days in the studio per week, with flexibility based on project needs.
