R&D Tech@Lilly unites science with technology to accelerate the LRL (Lilly Research Laboratories) pipeline and deliver therapeutic innovations. As a member of the R&D Tech@Lilly organization, you will have the opportunity to work in a highly technical and fast-paced team in a scientifically challenging area responsible for clinical experience transformation agenda to support an ever-changing research and development environment.

Within Tech@Lilly, Clinical Experience is focused on the delivery of platform and systems that remove friction in the digital experience of investigators and study participants whilst streamlining clinical research execution. This product manager will lead new product development as part of a large scale program. The MVP is already live and scaling up adoption, opening the door to re-engineer inefficient capabilities across study startup and execution. The individual needs to bring an understanding and empathy for clinical researches and an energy to bring together expert internal business capability leaders and data product owners to capture clear product requirements and design that can accelerate product engineering. The product manager will also need to work with product managers across a sister program unlocking new ways of working through automation and AI with the goal to increase impact for investigators.

What You\’ll Be Doing:

  • Product Strategy & Vision: Partner with business capability owners to refine and communicate a compelling product vision aligned with business goals.
  • Roadmap Ownership: Develop and maintain a product roadmap that prioritizes features based on customer needs, business impact, and technical feasibility.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and clinical trial delivery teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within scope.
  • User & Market Insights: Conduct user research, analyze market trends, and gather feedback to inform product decisions and identify new opportunities.
  • Requirements Definition: Translate business and user needs into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Agile Product Development: Lead agile ceremonies, manage backlogs, and ensure continuous delivery of value through iterative development.
  • Performance Monitoring: Define KPIs, track product performance, and use data to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the voice of the product, keeping stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the product lifecycle.

What You Should Bring:

  • Experience modelling complex business domains to accelerate shared understanding and drive clear boundaries and requirements around new services or data products
  • Experience with different project/product development methodologies such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or critical chain.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry – pharmaceutical preferred
  • Experience working with Clinical Data
  • Able to act as change agent and take ownership of issues or opportunities until a proper solution is implemented
  • Passion for technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship, with a deep curiosity and drive to solve complex problems and build impactful solutions
  • High learning agility and be able to \”connect the dots\”

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor\’s degree or global equivalent in scientific, business or IT-related field OR high school diploma/GED with 10+ years of experience in IT leadership/program management.
  • 10+ years experience working with business partners to deliver business outcomes through IT solutions and services, deep knowledge about information security, strong leadership and communication skills.
  • 5+ years of experience in delivering and sustaining solutions throughout software development lifecycle: design, engineering, construct, testing, deployment, and support of software solutions, platforms, services, and capabilities.
  • 4+ years experience as product manager of complex systems in a technical business domain
  • 4+ years proven experience working on HCP facing business processes and systems

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate\’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$123,000 – $180,400

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
