We are seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to join Print Tech, an established commercial printing company based in Birmingham.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing professional marketing and print materials, including menus, leaflets, brochures, business cards, logos and corporate branding. Duties include preparing accurate, print-ready artwork using CorelDRAW and Adobe Illustrator, ensuring designs meet commercial printing specifications and production standards.
The role involves visiting shops, restaurants and other businesses to discuss design requirements, advising customers on suitable design solutions, coordinating projects from initial consultation through to final approval, and maintaining professional client relationships.
Applicants must have proven professional experience in commercial graphic design and print production, strong client communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects independently while meeting deadlines. Fluency in English, Hindi/Urdu and Punjabi is required for communication with our diverse customer base. A valid UK driving licence and access to a car are essential.
- Professional Experience: :Proven experience in commercial graphic design, print production, customer coordination and managing design projects from initial consultation to final approval.
- Graphic Design Software: Advanced proficiency in CorelDRAW and Adobe Illustrator, Inpage with strong knowledge of professional design techniques.
- Client Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience conducting one-to-one client consultations, gathering detailed requirements, understanding business needs and translating ideas into professional designs.
- Client Visits: Willingness and flexibility to travel regularly to customers' premises, including shops, restaurants and other commercial establishments, to discuss requirements, take design briefs and coordinate projects.
- Commercial Print Design: Demonstrable experience designing menus, flyers, leaflets, brochures, business cards, catalogues, logos and corporate branding materials.
- Print Production Knowledge: Strong understanding of preparing accurate, print-ready artwork, including CMYK colour settings, bleed, crop marks, resolution, dimensions and appropriate file formats.
- Project Management: Ability to independently manage multiple customer projects, coordinate design revisions, obtain client approvals and meet production deadlines.
- Language Skills: Excellent spoken and written English, with fluency in Urdu/Hindi and Punjabi to communicate effectively with our diverse customer base.
- **Driving Requirements:** Valid UK driving licence and access to a car for regular customer visits.
- **Personal Attributes:** Creative, professional, organised, customer-focused and adaptable, with excellent problem-solving skills and flexibility to work according to customer requirements and project deadlines.
