As a digital press operative, you will play a crucial role in the end-to-end digital printing process. You will be responsible for the day to day running and maintaining of the print presses, ensuring quality and maximum output is achieved. The role requires shift work and can be based on either a permanent night shift, or a rotational shift of 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm and 10pm - 6am rotating every 2 weeks. Please state your preferred shift in your application.
Requirements- Operate and maintain digital printing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and quality output
- Receive and review print job orders, understanding specifications and requirements
- Monitor print runs to identify and address any issues, ensuring smooth production processes
- Perform routine maintenance on printing equipment to ensure longevity and prevent downtime
- Manage and organize print materials, including loading and unloading paper and other supplies
- Conduct quality checks on printed materials to meet company standards and customer expectations
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines to create a secure and efficient working environment
- Previous experience as a Digital Print Operative or in a similar role within the printing industry preferred but not essential
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift 20kg
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends or overtime as needed
