Role Overview
The Pre-Press Artwork Operator is responsible for preparing jobs for print production using various design and pre-press software. This role ensures that all artwork is accurately processed and ready for printing within set deadlines. Additionally, the role involves providing technical support to customers regarding artwork issues and ensuring high-quality print outcomes. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of working efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining exceptional accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process artwork files for print production, ensuring compliance with specifications and print guidelines.
- Identify and resolve artwork issues, liaising with clients to ensure files meet production standards.
- Impose and adjust artwork as per supplied guidelines to optimise print efficiency.
- Ensure accurate colour management, resolution, and file formats for digital and lithographic printing.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including production and design, to ensure seamless workflow.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance workflow efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of artwork changes, approvals, and production timelines.
