We are looking for a meticulous and self-motivated Pre-Press Operator to join our Design & Pre-press team. This is a varied, hands-on role that sits at the heart of our workflow, preparing and checking artwork before it goes to production. No two days are quite the same, and your work will be essential to everything we produce.
What you'll be doing:
- Preparing files for print production and finishing
- Checking print-ready specifications and associated materials
- Carrying out pre-production duties across a range of finishing processes including foiling, die cutting, folding & gluing, and guillotine work
- Liaising with the wider production team to ensure jobs move through the workflow efficiently
- Identifying and flagging problems before they reach production
- Maintaining accurate job records and supporting production schedules
What we're looking for:
- Strong computer literacy across both Windows and Mac
- A sharp eye for detail and a methodical approach to checking and recording processes accurately
- Ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously and work to tight deadlines
- A positive, team-first attitude and good communication skills
- Experience with creative software such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, or Photoshop
Hours & schedule:
This role begins on our standard day hours (7:45 - 16:15). After approximately six months, it will transition to a shift pattern covering 6am to 6pm. (6:00 - 14:30 or 9:30 - 18:00, rotating)
Pay: £24,420.00-£28,000.00 per year
