Purpose of the role
We are looking for a Junior Designer to join thebusiness and support the design team in the creation of technical drawings /CADs, presentational decks and product design support.
Responsibilities
- Product Design Support
- Support and assist the design of thecollections within the Pringle design team acroos all categories.
- Support with the preparation of thepresentation boards for range reviews and buyer/product meetings.
Createpresentation materials for product range sign -off meetings.
Work with thedesign team to keep up to date.
- Manage reference samples, fabricswatches, sketches and pantones during Design Meetings
- Create flat technical sketches andpacks for design development packs.
- Create design development Packs with allappropriate components.
- Manage and maintain all information.
- Colourand Fabric Research & Development
- Develop and update seasonal colouredrange boards, maintaining awareness of market colour direction and internalbrand colour stories.
- Research market -identifying specificfabrics, yarns, jersey for the season, work with sourcing team and suppliers tosource each fabric to meet the specific pricing needs of knitwear andjersey.
- Select each style’s fabric, trims, materials and colours that fit into the mood board direction and create styleplans.
- Work with team to develop standardsto maintain and grow the internal material library.
- Team Collaboration
- Updating all VRP’s and CADs for thedesign team.
