Job Description
This is a hands‑on product communications role focused on creating clear, high‑quality content that helps PRI signatories understand and engage with our products and services. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to execute communication plans that support signatory retention, drive uptake and build confidence in PRI products, using signatory feedback and insights to shape communications that are clear, targeted and useful.
The role includes delivering communications for the PRI’s flagship Reporting & Insights offering, supporting signatories to understand requirements, navigate the reporting process and complete their submissions, while clearly communicating the value of reporting through targeted campaigns across web and email.
Core Responsibilities
- Execute successful communications for key PRI products and services, including Reporting & Insights, MyPRI, the Collaboration Platform and the PRI Academy.
- Lead the day‑to‑day execution and coordination of product communications campaigns across channels, including email (Marketing Cloud), web and in‑product messaging.
- Develop product communications that reflect the PRI’s mission and values, maintain brand consistency, and resonate with our investor audiences.
- Provide regular reporting to the Editorial & Product Communications Manager and collaborate with Marketing colleagues to develop and execute product communications and campaign assets.
- Develop content across a range of formats, including scripts for webinars, slides and supporting campaign materials.
- Support the development of messaging, positioning and go‑to‑market approaches for new products and services.
- Monitor and report on campaign performance across web and email (e.g. sends, opens, bounces, engagement) and provide clear, practical insights to improve content and delivery.
- Proactively identify risks (audience overlap, messaging clarity, timing) and work with stakeholders to resolve them.
- Exercise strong judgement in shaping communications, balancing clarity, accuracy and audience needs, particularly on complex or sensitive topics.
- Take ownership for the quality and effectiveness of product communications, identifying opportunities to improve messaging, timing, delivery and format.
- Work closely with Product Owners to understand changes, anticipate signatory needs, and ensure messaging and communications are accurate, compelling, and in line with strategic priorities.
- Draft, update and maintain product and service support content (FAQs, web copy), and review and refine user guides and other materials developed by Product Owners to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Manage and update internal communications on PRI products and services, ensuring signatory‑facing teams are kept informed of key messaging, updates and timelines; particularly for reporting communications.
Person Specification
- Proven experience working in product communications, product marketing, or related communications role.
- Experience delivering email campaigns using tools such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud (or similar) is essential.
- Confident interpreting performance data and using it to refine messaging and campaign delivery.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to make complex information accessible and engaging, and to create compelling messaging and innovative content for a variety of audiences.
- A collaborative and consultative approach to working with others & committed to fostering an inclusive environment.
- Knowledge of the sustainable finance agenda and responsible investment issues, the investment industry, including the challenges it faces and how our products help address them.
- Understanding how to gauge competitor positioning and market trends, translating insights into differentiated messaging.
- An appropriate level of IT/Digital skills, able to spot risks early.
We particularly welcome candidates from under‑represented groups, including Black, Asian, and other People of Colour, those with visible or non‑visible disabilities, LGBTQ+ candidates and those who are neurodivergent.
N.B. We reserve the right to close a vacancy before the closing date in the event of an overwhelming response or a change in business priorities.
