Principle HR is partnering with a global technology leader, whose platforms are used by billions of people every day, to hire a Technical Program Manager for its eDiscovery & Information Governance team.
This is a rare chance to work in-house at the heart of global litigation, regulatory and governance matters at one of the world's largest tech companies. The role mixes program leadership with hands-on technical work. You'll run intake and case work day to day, write your own SQL, and help shape how AI is used across the eDiscovery function.
What you'll be doing
- Own intake and triage for incoming legal requests. Track progress, assign work and deliver against firm submission and production deadlines.
- Write and run SQL queries to support case work and program reporting.
- Manage the lifecycle of the team's apps, scripts and internal tooling. Drive enhancements to existing AI and eDiscovery tools and vet new ones with partner teams.
- Build scalable, defensible playbooks, workflows, policies and templates, favouring durable solutions over one-off fixes.
- Design evaluation frameworks and performance metrics, such as completion rates, turnaround times and time spent blocked, along with dashboards that make program health visible.
- Partner with product teams and subject matter experts to get methodologies reviewed and approved, and write the supporting documentation.
- Turn complex technical and legal information into clear updates for internal partners, case teams and Outside Counsel.
- Shape team roadmaps, spot AI and technology trends that could become new initiatives, and keep track of adjacent teams' work to avoid duplication.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years in technical program or project management, including direct support of eDiscovery, information governance or legal operations teams.
- Hands-on SQL skills. You write and run your own queries rather than only overseeing technical work.
- Experience owning development and tooling lifecycles.
- A proven record of running complex intake processes and cross-functional workflows at scale.
- Experience building performance metrics and evaluation frameworks.
- A background in high-stakes global litigation, regulatory or governance matters.
- The ability to work independently and drive accountability with little direction from leadership.
Nice to have
- Experience working directly with data science or AI teams.
- A background in professional services, an eDiscovery vendor or consulting.
- In-house technology company experience.
- PMP certification or an advanced degree.
What's on offer
- 25 days annual leave plus company days and bank holidays.
- A fully remote role within the UK.
You'll be employed by Principle HR and placed with our client, with a dedicated consultant supporting you throughout the contract. You must be based in the UK for the full contract.
