We are hiring a smart, curious junior Technical Support Engineer who enjoys understanding how things really work - networks, operating systems, logs and scripts - and can explain it clearly to customers. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who is technically solid, hungry to learn, and wants exposure to enterprise-scale SaaS environments.
The Offer:
- Annual Salary up to £41,000 doe
- 12-month PAYE contract (inside IR35)
- Hybrid: 2-3 days onsite (Staines, Surrey)
- Strong hands-on technical exposure and learning curve
What you will be doing:
- Troubleshooting customer issues across networking, OS and automation components
- Analysing logs on Windows and Linux systems
- Reading and understanding scripts to diagnose issues
- Explaining technical problems clearly to non-technical users
- Owning support cases and working through issues end to end
What we are looking for:
- Strong communication skills and confidence in dealing with customers
- 1-3 years' experience in technical support, IT support, NOC, service desk or similar
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS)
- Working knowledge of Windows and Linux
- Ability to read and understand scripts - any language - preferred JavaScript
- Curious mindset - you ask why, not just what
