Senior Music Publishing Partnerships Manager
- Contract: 12 months
- Location: London - hybrid, 3 days per week onsite
The Opportunity
We are recruiting a Senior Music Publishing Partnerships Manager for a global technology organisation operating at the intersection of music, digital platforms and technology.
This is a senior EMEA partnerships position focused specifically on the music publishing ecosystem. You will manage strategic relationships with music publishers and rights organisations across Europe, working across both the commercial and operational sides of digital music publishing.
The position offers a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of the music publishing industry and a major global technology platform.
What You'll Do
- Manage strategic relationships with music publishing partners across Europe, acting as a key point of contact for partner engagement.
- Handle partner queries and operational issues, coordinating across internal teams to drive resolution.
- Conduct regular partner and business reviews, tracking and interpreting music usage across digital platforms and internal systems.
- Manage the exchange of publishing data and information required to support the identification, reporting and payment of music usage.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across music publishers, rights organisations and digital platforms.
- Work closely with Operations and Business Development teams on publishing-specific issues and partnership objectives.
- Manage and support partner events involving internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide industry insight into the evolving music publishing, licensing and digital rights ecosystem.
These responsibilities closely reflect the manager's day-to-day brief, particularly partner queries, operational triage, business reviews, events and publishing data exchange.
What We're Looking For
- Approximately 10+ years' relevant experience within music publishing, digital music rights, licensing or closely related partnership functions.
- Significant music publishing industry expertise β this position requires publishing experience rather than solely record-label experience.
- Strong understanding of digital music licensing and how publishing rights are licensed and managed across major technology and digital music platforms.
- Strong knowledge of music publishing rights and rights data, including how usage and ownership information moves between publishers, rights organisations and digital platforms.
- Experience working for or closely with established music publishers, collective management organisations or rights organisations.
- Experience engaging with major digital platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Spotify, Amazon or Apple.
- Proven ability to manage strategic partnerships and communicate credibly with Director-level senior stakeholders.
- Strong numerical and analytical capability, including interpreting data, identifying trends and communicating findings through business reviews.
- Comfortable operating in a complex, highly collaborative and rapidly changing environment.
