We’re seeking a motivated Research Operations Assistant to join a world-leading AR/VR research team working on the next generation of smart glasses and immersive audio technologies. The successful candidate will support data collection activities within a state-of-the-art audio and motion capture facility, collaborating with leading researchers, engineers, and project coordinators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support execution of audio and motion data collection in advanced research labs.
  • Work closely with engineers and participants during experiments, ensuring smooth and accurate session delivery.
  • Record and manage metadata with precision and consistency.
  • Coordinate participant scheduling and session logistics.
  • Conduct data validation and contribute to experimental design discussions.
  • Assist in user testing, participant onboarding, and general lab operations.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree (e.g. Psychology, Natural Sciences, Engineering, or similar).
  • 2–4 years’ experience in a research or lab-based environment.
  • Proven experience managing participants or running experiments.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational ability.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Confident working full-time onsite in Cambridge.
Preferred:
  • Basic knowledge of Python, R, or data analysis tools.
  • Interest or background in audio, acoustics, or human perception.
  • Experience with motion capture, video or AR/VR technology.
