Overview
We\\\’re looking for an experienced Acoustic / Audio Research Engineer to join a world-class audio research team, shaping the next generation of AR/VR experiences. You\\\’ll be working onsite in Cambridge, in one of the most advanced audio labs in the world.

- Annual salary up to £84,000 (paid weekly)
- 12-month PAYE contract (inside IR35) + possibility of extension
- Fully onsite, Cambridge
What You\\\’ll Bring
- Master\\\’s/PhD in a relevant technical field with 3+ years in audio technology R&D
- Strong track record in designing and running audio/acoustic experiments in labs
- Hands-on skills with Python, MATLAB, or MaxMSP for audio applications – must have
- Deep knowledge of acoustics and audio signal processing
Nice to Have
- Experience with psychoacoustics, spatial/room acoustics, auditory perception
- Exposure to prototype devices, motion tracking, ML frameworks (PyTorch)
Your Day-to-Day
- Design and run experiments with advanced audio capture systems and prototype devices
- Collect, process, and analyse acoustic data in custom lab environments
- Build tools and algorithms to support experiments
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of world-leading researchers
- Document your findings in technical reports
