We're working with a major financial services organisation to find an experienced UAT Test Lead with a strong Payments & Liquidity background for a 6-month contract based in Glasgow. This is a high-ownership role sitting at the heart of a complex payments programme - not a box-ticking testing gig. You'll be designing and executing end-to-end test scenarios, managing defects through to closure, and taking real governance accountability across the full testing lifecycle. If you're someone who thrives on owning a process from start to finish, this one is worth a look.
What you'll be doing:
- Collaborating with stakeholders across Product, Operations, Technology, and Vendor teams to understand business requirements and translate them into solid test coverage
- Designing E2E test scenarios for release-specific requirements
- Setting up, maintaining, and actively driving E2E automation scripts
- Executing release-based testing across internal and external partner applications
- Managing defects - identification, documentation, triage, retest, and closure
- Providing daily status reporting on execution progress, risks, and blockers
- Taking end-to-end ownership of testing governance, KPIs, and SLAs
What you'll need:
- Strong UAT experience in a financial services environment
- Payments & Liquidity domain knowledge - this is mandatory, not a nice-to-have
- Hands-on experience with E2E test automation (setup and maintenance, not just execution)
- Exposure to non-functional testing - performance, security, accessibility
- Confident stakeholder management and communication at all levels
Contract details:
- Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 per annum (Inside IR35)
- Location: Glasgow - 3 days in the office per week
- Duration: 6 months
- Classification: Inside IR35 (via employment company)
If this sounds like your world, drop me a message or apply directly. Happy to have a conversation about the detail.
