About the Role
We are supporting a global technology organisation that operates large-scale ecommerce and catalog systems used to power machine learning, discovery, and product classification. This role joins a specialist taxonomy team working on product metadata enrichment, normalization, and cross-taxonomy mapping. The position is delivery-focused and suited to a hands-on taxonomist who enjoys structured, detail-oriented work.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse product and catalog data to identify exact and fuzzy matches
- Enrich and normalize product metadata such as brand and attributes
- Map data across multiple taxonomies and vocabularies
- Apply taxonomy governance standards consistently
- Work closely with engineers and ML partners to support classification systems
- Provide regular status updates to stakeholders
Required Experience
- 2+ years developing taxonomies and/or ontologies
- Experience supporting front-end and back-end systems
- Ecommerce or catalog taxonomy exposure
- Strong attention to detail and structured thinking
- Confident communicator in distributed teams

- Degree in Library Science, Information Management, or Linguistics
