We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to join us on a 9-month fixed term contract. In this role, you’ll support the development and ongoing maintenance of the Society’s Internal Ratings Based (IRB) systems for Retail Mortgage and Commercial portfolios. You’ll also take responsibility for coordinating and delivering the monthly Management Information (MI) packs to the Credit Model Governance Committee (CMGC) and Model Governance Committee (MGC).
What you’ll be doing:
- Contributing to the development and ongoing maintenance of application and behavioural scorecards, as well as other models within the Retail IRB Ratings System. This includes preparing for and responding to items reviewed by the Model Governance Committee.
- Supporting the development and maintenance of documented procedures that help ensure CRD IV compliance, including regular self-assessment against regulatory requirements and maintaining model documentation to agreed standards.
- Keeping up to date with current and emerging regulatory developments that may impact the Society’s licence to trade, including attending relevant training sessions and conferences.
Technical Skills & Experience:
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of SAS programming and data manipulation techniques.
- Experience of working with large datasets and developing automated processes to support effective information management.
- Experience developing scorecards, models or forecasting approaches.
- Experience of, or familiarity with, governance frameworks and supporting documentation such as policies and standards.
- Experience delivering presentations and/or training to a range of audiences.
Skills & Behaviours:
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills, including task management, time management and meeting deadlines.
- Well-developed analytical skills, including data analysis and process development.
