Join us to help build a more resilient future. We’re looking for an experienced Operational Resilience Manager to shape, lead and continually strengthen our organisation’s resilience capabilities. This is a critical role that ensures our business services can prevent, withstand, respond to and recover from disruption – protecting our customers, colleagues and the continuity of our operations.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and evolve our Operational Resilience and Business Continuity Framework, driving its maturity and effectiveness.
- Coordinate all regulatory resilience requirements, including IBS/ITOL assessments, end-to-end service mapping, scenario testing, vulnerability reviews and annual self-assessment reporting.
- Oversee and continuously improve business continuity planning, ensuring services and their dependencies are clearly documented and able to recover effectively.
- Embed operational resilience and business continuity practices into third party risk management.
- Champion a resilience-by-design culture, ensuring change, transformation and technology decisions consider resilience from the start.
- Design and deliver our resilience testing programme – from methodology to facilitation and reporting – ensuring we learn, adapt and improve.
- Lead the development and maintenance of our Crisis Management framework, including roles, processes and exercises.
- Provide high-quality insight, reporting and recommendations to senior leaders to support informed, risk-based decision-making.
- Build and develop resilience and risk capability across teams, promoting ownership, awareness and continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively with second- and third-line colleagues to strengthen controls, close findings and maintain alignment across assurance activity.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience in operational resilience, business continuity, crisis management or a related field within a regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of PRA and FCA operational resilience regulations and related guidance.
- The ability to interpret complex information and turn it into clear, actionable insights.
- Experience leading scenario testing, resilience assessments or business continuity exercises.
- Confident stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and challenge constructively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to engage audiences at all levels, including Executive and Board.
- A proactive, improvement-focused mindset and strong judgement in ambiguous situations.
- Experience working in matrix environment and delivering cross-functional outcomes.
