Enterprise Risk Support Analyst in Cardiff

Would you like to turn risk information into clear insight that helps keep Principality safe? We’re looking for an organised and curious Enterprise Risk Support Analyst to join our Enterprise Risk team. You’ll play an important part in producing accurate management information, supporting colleagues with risk events and helping our risk management system work effectively across the Society.

This is a varied role for someone who enjoys detail, problem-solving and working with people across a business. Your work will support management, executive and Board committees, contribute to regulatory reporting and help colleagues understand and manage risk with confidence.

What you’ll be doing:

• Produce timely, high-quality risk appetite statements and management information on key risk indicator exceptions, risk events and operational losses.
• Triage risk events, connect them to the relevant risks and controls, and elevate significant events when needed.
• Maintain accurate risk data and reporting records, including the master management information spreadsheet.
• Manage the Enterprise Risk shared mailbox and respond to queries from colleagues across the Society.
• Support and administer Magique, our risk management system, working with users, the IT helpdesk and the external software provider to resolve queries and keep information up to date.
• Help oversee the timely maintenance of risk registers and the quality of risk and control assessments.
• Review and update guidance and training materials and support risk training and awareness activities.

What we’re looking for

You don’t need to match every point perfectly. We’re interested in the skills and experience you can bring, including:

• Confidence using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word to organise information and communicate it clearly.
• Experience producing reports, dashboards or management information accurately and to deadline.
• An understanding of enterprise risk management, or an interest in developing your knowledge in this area.
• A careful, practical approach to analysing factual information and making decisions within established procedures.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to build trusted working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
• The organisation and self-motivation to manage priorities and work to tight deadlines.
• Confidence explaining processes or delivering training and guidance to others.

Helpful experience

Experience in financial services or working with risk management software would be useful, but we also welcome applications from people with transferable reporting, systems administration or data-quality experience.
