Do you have a calm, nurturing and supportive approach? We are seeking to appoint a full-time Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join one of our partnership Specialist Provision Schools from September 2025. You will be responsible for ensuring a nurturing learning environment in the Teacher's absence, delivering a range of suitably adapted lessons to meet the needs of children within your care.
The Specialist School based in the LS10 area of Leeds caters for pupils aged 2-19 years with a wide range of moderate, severe and complex learning difficulties. Previous experience supporting pupils with SEMH and ASD is desirable, as well as a calm and patient approach that enables positive engagement and a safe space for learning.
You will be supported within your class by a team of Learning Support Assistants and by a Middle and Senior Leadership Team who have a secure understanding of the rewards and challenges of teaching in the school. All staff are passionate about developing the learning, life chances and opportunities of pupils and young people.
You can expect to earn up to £100 per day for this role dependent on experience.
We are seeking a candidate with:
- A full and relevant Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Confidence, inclusivity, and passion for supporting SEND/SEMH pupil progression.
- Ability to adapt learning to meet the unique needs of learners.
- Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the UK Curriculum.
- An enhanced DBS disclosure or be willing to obtain one through us.
- Right to Work in the UK; unfortunately, we are unable to offer Visa Sponsorship.
