Teacher Of Science (Biology Specialism) - (September Start MPS-UPS)

Overview

We are looking for a talented Science Teacher with a specialism in Biology who can deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the ability to teach Biology at Key Stage 5 being highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver outstanding Science lessons with a focus on Biology.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor, assess, and support student progress effectively.
• Contribute to the continued development of the Science curriculum.
• Work collaboratively within a supportive and dynamic department.
• Encourage students to develop curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong interest in science.

The Ideal Candidate

We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Have a degree in Biology or a related scientific discipline.
• Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and classroom practice.
• Have high expectations of student achievement and behaviour.
• Possess strong communication and organisational skills.
