Principal Education is seeking passionate, patient and resilient SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils across secondary schools in Hackney. You'll provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with a range of SEND needs, helping them access learning, manage challenges and build confidence and independence.
The role:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND
- Support pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, MLD and communication needs
- Assist with learning, emotional regulation and behaviour
- Work alongside teachers to create an inclusive classroom
- Encourage pupils to develop confidence and independence
What you MUST demonstrate:
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience working with children or young people, particularly SEND
- Patience, empathy and resilience
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
- Overseas police clearance if you've lived abroad for 6+ months in the last 5 years
- Based in Hackney or within a commutable distance
Pay and benefits:
- £100-£130 per day, depending on experience
