Principal Education is looking for passionate and enthusiastic individuals to work as unqualified teachers and cover supervisors in secondary schools across London. These are flexible, daily supply roles - you choose when you're available.

The role

As a cover supervisor, you'll manage a classroom in the absence of the teacher, delivering pre-prepared lessons and ensuring a safe, positive learning environment. You won't be expected to plan or teach lessons, but you'll play a key role in supporting pupils' learning and behaviour.

What you MUST demonstrate:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to support pupils with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and confidence to think on your feet
  • Calmness under pressure
  • An enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Overseas police clearance if you've lived abroad for 6+ months in the last 5 years
  • Based in London or within a commutable distance

Pay and benefits

£110-£140 per day for flexible daily cover, depending on experience. Higher pay rates for ongoing roles, aligned with the unqualified teacher pay scale.
