Principal Education is seeking caring, patient and compassionate Personal Care Teaching Assistants to support pupils across schools in Newham . This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable providing personal care support , including feeding and changing, while helping pupils access learning and develop their independence.
The role:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs
- Assist with personal care , including feeding, changing and toileting
- Support pupils with mobility and day-to-day needs where required
- Help pupils engage with learning and classroom activities
- Build positive relationships while promoting dignity, confidence and independence
- Work closely with teachers and other support staff
What you MUST demonstrate:
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Comfortable providing personal care, including feeding and changing
- Patient, caring and empathetic approach
- Ability to support pupils with additional needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
- Overseas police clearance if required
- Based in Newham or within a commutable distance
Pay and benefits:
- £100-£130 per day , depending on experience
