We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, organised and creative Art Technician to support our thriving Art Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practical art skills and a passion for working with young people to play an important role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Art teachers to prepare materials, equipment and resources for lessons, maintain a safe and well-organised working environment, and support students in developing their practical and creative skills.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and organising materials, equipment and resources for art lessons.
- Supporting teachers and students with a wide range of practical art activities.
- Maintaining art rooms, studios, equipment and storage areas to a high standard.
- Ensuring appropriate health and safety procedures are followed, including the safe use and storage of tools, materials and chemicals.
- Assisting with displays, exhibitions, school events and student artwork.
- Monitoring stock levels and ordering or sourcing materials when required.
- Carrying out basic maintenance and preparation of equipment and materials.
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the Art Department.
