Principal People are excited to appoint a Health and Safety Advisor for a global manufacturing organisation based in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity for a health and safety professional to drive meaningful change for an established business and truly make a difference.
This will be an operational position within a fast-paced environment with an opportunity to make a difference. You will have the chance to lead the health and safety for the site but also have the guidance from an experienced Health and Safety Manager.
The Health and Safety Advisor will:
- Ensure that all Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and communicated.
- Ensure full and accurate health and safety and training records are maintained.
- Establish and maintain a full programme of documented health & safety inspections, audits and checks.
- Conduct regular risk assessments of the workplace activities, identifying potential hazards, and implementing controls to mitigate risks.
- Carry out and investigate accidents, near misses, and other safety incidents to determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Promote a positive safety culture, encouraging participation and ownership of safety responsibilities at all levels.
- Engage with employees and management to raise awareness of safety issues and foster a proactive approach to risk management.
