Seeking an established principal contractor working on local, live projects. We’re working with a specialist principal contractor to appoint a Health and Safety Manager to support projects across Southampton, Portsmouth, Basingstoke, Isle of Wight and the surrounding areas. A hybrid role, balanced between working from home and regional sites, all travel is expensed. You’ll be joining a well-structured HSEQ team, working closely with site teams on live construction projects in occupied environments. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your own diary, the backing of an experienced Safety department and the chance to make a real impact on how safety is delivered day to day.
Key responsibilities:
- Carrying out inspections, audits and reporting
- Preparing and reviewing RAMS, CPPs and risk assessments
- Advising site teams and subcontractors on best practice
- Supporting investigations and follow-up actions
- Contributing to the improvement of internal HSEQ systems
What we’re looking for:
- NEBOSH Construction, NEBOSH General certificate or equivalent
- Experience within Construction or similar environment
- Full UK driving licence
