Principal People are working with a growing consultancy supporting a major construction project in North Yorkshire, involving multiple Tier 1 contractors, specialist subcontractors and a complex live working environment.

This is not a traditional compliance or inspection role.

You’ll be embedded within the project team, providing practical H&S leadership, coordinating multiple parties and influencing stakeholders across the project.

What will you be doing?

  • Daily site walks and proactive H&S monitoring
  • Practical H&S advice to contractors and the project team
  • Managing contractor, trade and construction interfaces
  • Identifying and managing key construction and people/plant risks
  • Challenging contractors and driving corrective action
  • Chairing a weekly site-wide H&S and coordination meeting
  • Producing weekly/monthly H&S reporting
  • Supporting the monthly site-wide coordination pack, covering upcoming works, risks, interfaces and operational impacts
  • Communicating confidently with everyone from site operatives to senior stakeholders
  • Producing professional reports and presentations using Word, Excel and Power Point
