Senior HSE Manager – Manufacturing – Chiswick – £80,000 - £90,000 + Benefits Package Principal People are delighted to be working exclusively with a Global Manufacturing business to recruit a Senior HSE Manager. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Health, Safety and Environment professional to join a leading international manufacturing organisation and take ownership of EHS performance across multiple UK sites. The successful candidate will provide EHS leadership across the UK operation, working closely with senior operational and functional leaders to ensure legal compliance, strengthen risk management and accelerate EHS culture and behavioural maturity. This is a highly influential role with responsibility for driving consistency across sites, developing EHS capability and embedding a proactive approach to safety, health and environmental performance. The key duties include: Delivering upon the UK EHS strategy, ensuring alignment with regional and global standards, business priorities and legal requirements. Leading EHS governance across multiple sites, ensuring consistent implementation of standards, programmes and management systems. Maintaining strong legal and regulatory compliance, including regulatory inspections and corrective action programmes. Driving a positive EHS culture through leadership engagement, employee ownership, behavioural safety and visible management commitment. Leading the UK assurance programme, including audits, assessments, incident investigations, corrective actions and lessons learned across all sites. Providing senior technical expertise on EHS matters, including high-risk operations, risk assessment, safe systems of work and contractor control. Developing and monitoring EHS KPIs, identifying trends and systemic risks and using data to drive continual improvement. Developing and overseeing country-wide EHS training and competence programmes, while coaching site EHS teams and operational leaders. Managing relationships with regulators, authorities, auditors, insurers, contractors and other external stakeholders. Why should you apply for the role? We would love to see CVs from people who have: A Level 6 EHS Qualification is preferred (NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent) Experience working within a manufacturing or distribution environment, preferably across multiple locations. Strong knowledge of UK EHS legislation and regulatory requirements. Strong working knowledge of ISO 45001, with ISO 14001 experience advantageous. People leadership and team management experience across HSE. Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, coaching and communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of an organisation
