This role offers broad involvement across estimating, tendering, procurement, commercial management and final accounts, giving you exposure to both pre-construction and project delivery. The Role
- You'll support the commercial and estimating function across multiple projects, working closely with operational teams, clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
- Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing estimates, tenders and pricing submissions
- Managing procurement and subcontractor packages
- Overseeing valuations, variations, cost control and final accounts
- Producing commercial reports, forecasts and project financial updates
- Supporting tender submissions, framework opportunities and pre-qualification documentation
- Assisting with written quality responses and bid information
- Working closely with project teams to manage commercial performance
- Building relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners
- Helping improve commercial, estimating and tendering processes
About You
The role would suit a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor / Estimator who enjoys variety and wants involvement in both pre-construction and project delivery. You will ideally have:
- Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor, Estimator or QS/Estimator
- Experience with a building contractor, refurbishment contractor or similar construction environment
- Good knowledge of estimating, procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts
- Experience supporting tenders, bids, frameworks or pre-construction activity
- Confidence working with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams
- Good written communication skills, particularly around tender or quality submissions
- A practical, organised and collaborative approach
- Experience across refurbishment, alterations, education, healthcare, local authority or public sector projects would be beneficial, but broader building contractor experience will also be considered.
