Environmental Advisor – up to £50,000 + Car Allowance - Infrastructure - Scotland Want to spend more time on site helping teams solve environmental issues, with the flexibility of a hybrid role? I’m recruiting an Environmental Advisor for a contractor delivering a long-term infrastructure framework across Scotland. You’ll support live civils and utilities projects, from mains replacement and network upgrades to capital projects. The role covers multiple sites and gives you the scope to work directly with project teams on practical environmental decisions. You’ll be part of a supportive environmental team, with colleagues to share ideas with and turn to for advice when you need it. What’s on offer Up to £50,000 salary Company car or £5,000 car allowance, plus mileage Pension scheme with a variable contribution of up to 13% 28 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to buy more Private medical cover, with the option to add family Support for CPD and career development What you’ll do Visit projects to identify environmental risks, advise site teams and help put workable controls in place. Carry out inspections and audits, support ISO 14001 compliance, and guide teams on waste management and environmental performance. Investigate incidents, agree corrective actions, deliver environmental briefings and work with the client, regulators and supply chain partners. What you’ll bring Environmental experience in construction, civils, utilities, water, power or infrastructure. An environmental qualification or related degree. Understanding of environmental legislation, management systems and risk assessment, and be comfortable giving clear advice to operational teams.
