Looking to lead a regional HSQE team with influence, autonomy, and long–term impact?
We re working with a well–established Principal Contractor delivering Infrastructure and Construction works across a range of sectors, including Energy, Utilities, Civils and Rail. With a strong reputation, stable leadership, and a visible safety culture, they re looking to appoint a Health and Safety Manager to continue driving high standards across their North West operations.
This is a key position in the regional leadership team, reporting directly to the Managing Director, with technical support from the Group HSQE Director. You ll lead a small, capable team while contributing to broader strategic discussions across the business.
The role is based from a North West office, covering projects around the region. You ll typically split your time between the office, sites and home working, with flexibility available.
Key responsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager include:

  • Leading, coaching and developing a small regional HSQE team.
  • Providing proactive guidance to operational leaders across rail and civils projects.
  • Driving continuous improvement in safety, environmental and quality standards.
  • Engaging with clients and senior stakeholders on HSQE performance.
  • Supporting compliance with ISO 45001, 14001, 9001 and relevant regulations.
  • Collaborating with peers across regions to share learning and align standards.
