Building Safety Surveyor as part of the continued growth of its Building Compliance team.

The Role

• Reporting to the
• Head of Health & Safety and Building Compliance

, you'll play a key role in ensuring homes remain safe, compliant and well maintained.

• This is a varied role covering all aspects of building compliance
• , with a particular focus on fire safety, building safety and water safety

, while also supporting compliance across areas such as asbestos.

• As a key member of the Building Compliance team, you'll work collaboratively with residents, contractors and colleagues to manage specialist compliance contracts
• Support Higher-Risk Buildings (HRBs), review risk assessments, undertake inspections and provide expert technical guidance.
• You'll also help shape and continuously improve the Building Safety function, ensuring the highest standards of compliance across the portfolio.
• About the Building Safety Surveyor

To be successful, you'll have

• Experience managing building compliance within social housing, local government or a similar property environment.
• Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, particularly fire safety

, with experience of water hygiene and asbestos highly desirable.

• A good understanding of the
• Building Safety Act

, Fire Safety legislation and Higher-Risk Buildings (HRBs).

• Experience managing specialist contractors and driving compliance programmes.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, contractors and colleagues.
• A relevant surveying, construction or building maintenance qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
• A full UK driving licence.
