Building Safety Surveyor as part of the continued growth of its Building Compliance team.

The Role
- Reporting to the
- Head of Health & Safety and Building Compliance
, you'll play a key role in ensuring homes remain safe, compliant and well maintained.
- This is a varied role covering all aspects of building compliance
- , with a particular focus on fire safety, building safety and water safety
, while also supporting compliance across areas such as asbestos.
- As a key member of the Building Compliance team, you'll work collaboratively with residents, contractors and colleagues to manage specialist compliance contracts
- Support Higher-Risk Buildings (HRBs), review risk assessments, undertake inspections and provide expert technical guidance.
- You'll also help shape and continuously improve the Building Safety function, ensuring the highest standards of compliance across the portfolio.
- About the Building Safety Surveyor
To be successful, you'll have
- Experience managing building compliance within social housing, local government or a similar property environment.
- Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, particularly fire safety
, with experience of water hygiene and asbestos highly desirable.
- A good understanding of the
- Building Safety Act
, Fire Safety legislation and Higher-Risk Buildings (HRBs).
- Experience managing specialist contractors and driving compliance programmes.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, contractors and colleagues.
- A relevant surveying, construction or building maintenance qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
- A full UK driving licence.
