Principal People are working with a leading infrastructure contractor to recruit a Health and Safety Advisor to support projects across the Thames Water framework. This is a hybrid role with regular travel across the region, working closely with operational and project teams on a range of live infrastructure and environmental projects.
This position will support the Health and Safety Manager in delivering health, safety and environmental excellence across the framework. You will play a key role in supporting operational teams, ensuring compliance with management systems and legislation, and driving continuous improvement across project delivery.
The role is relationship-led and requires someone who is visible on site, confident engaging with teams, and able to influence behaviours while promoting a positive health and safety culture across the business.

Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing Construction Phase Plans, Emergency Response Plans, RAMS and project documentation.
- Conducting site inspections, HS&E reviews and environmental audits.
- Supporting ISO 14001 compliance and environmental performance standards.
- Monitoring HS&E performance through KPIs and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Delivering HS&E briefings, training and best practice guidance.
- Supporting supply chain onboarding and ongoing HS&E performance monitoring.
- Building strong relationships with clients, contractors and operational stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate as a minimum.
- Experience within construction, infrastructure, utilities or water sectors.
- Strong understanding of HS&E legislation, management systems and risk management.
