We are seeking an enthusiastic Practice Nurse to complement the role of the GP and other Health Professionals and be an integral part and key member of the care team. You will make the best use of clinical skills within the practice to promote well-being and maximise health gain for patients and provide a safe, high quality and accessible treatment room service to our registered patients. We value teamwork, mutual support and a friendly working environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a primary care setting, preferably as a Practice Nurse, and additional qualifications in Long Term Conditions such as COPD, Asthma, Diabetes and CHD are desirable, as are contraception and travel service. As a training practice, we are fully committed to training and development opportunities to progress your career. We are also an active primary care research practice which includes treatment room participation.

About us:
PML is a successful not-for-profit, GP-led organisation providing various NHS community and primary care clinical services to patients across Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire. We have evolved as an NHS healthcare provider since 2004 and in the last few years have grown significantly, now employing around 300 staff with a turnover of circa £16m. PML holds GMS contracts, as well as being a GP Federation representing circa 50 GP practices covering approximately 650,000 patients.
Banbury is a historic and expanding market town on the River Cherwell in Oxfordshire and is on the edge of the Cotswolds. Oxford, Stratford upon Avon and Leamington Spa are close by and there are excellent public and private schools in the surrounding area. Banbury Cross Health Centre provides an exciting development in general practice in the north of Oxfordshire. Following the merger of 3 practices in the town, we are continuing the integration of primary care services to ensure the future sustainability of general practice and the delivery of excellent patient services. We are actively involved with our PCN and fully engaged with developing patient-centred services in the community with our local community providers and other stakeholders. With a list size of approximately 40,000 patients and growing, we are a forward-thinking and aspirational practice.
Job responsibilities:
- Clear understanding of clinical governance and guidelines.

Qualifications:
- Registered with the NMC.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience.
- Certification of competency in child immunisation.
- Certification of competency in Cytology.
- Certification of competency in travel vaccination.
- General Certificate Practice (Research).
