Principal IT are working with an IT consultancy organisation that are looking for a 3rd line engineer to join their team. In this role you will play a vital part in supporting their future strategy. They are looking for someone who is passionate about continuous professional development and has an innovative approach to incorporating new technologies into their operations. The successful candidate will become an integral part of the forward-thinking IT team, undertaking certified and on-premise training covering numerous systems and software.
Reporting to the IT Helpdesk Manager, the role is site based, 5 days a week (Monday-Friday) and the successful candidate must have a full UK driving licence.
Key Responsibilities:- Acting as the "go-to" person for projects such as Azure/SharePoint/Server installs/Migrations/New systems.
- Providing clients with a project plan so they know what to expect.
- Dealing with 3rd parties and scheduling them as required.
- Ensuring all pre-requisites and resources are in place before the project begins.
- Ensuring the project team have all the required information and are on schedule.
- Keeping clients updated on the progress of the project.
- Ensuring that all parties (including 3rd party companies) are fully up to date.
- Ensure that all Jupiter systems are updated with the correct details - Knowledge base, Accounts Dept, Dashboard, helpdesk etc.
- Ensuring all related documentation is kept up to date.
- Working on helpdesk when not working on projects.
- Implementation and management of new project deployments including:
- Server installations (Physical, Virtual, Azure, Azure AD, Intune).
- SharePoint Migrations.
- Microsoft 365 Migrations.
- Networking devices including UTM firewalls and switches.
- Wi-fi installations.
- Telephone systems.
- Office moves.
- Cyber Security audits and reporting.
- Ensuring projects are completed quickly and on time.
- Onboarding new clients - producing reports and providing recommendations.
The Package: If successful our client is offering a salary of £35,000 - £37,000 per annum, favourable holiday allowance, company contributed pension scheme.
