Digital Solutions Technician – £25,000/£30,000 per annum – Hull (Hybrid) Principal IT are working with an award winning document management company that are looking for a digital solutions technician to join their team. In this role you will play a vital part in supporting their future strategy. This is an entry-level role for someone who\’s excited about AI, automation, and digital workflows and also enjoys solving problems, thinking logically and turning ideas into practical solutions. You\’ll need to feel confident speaking with clients and helping translate their needs into simple, effective digital tools. You\’ll work on both the technical setup and client engagement for their cloud platform, MDI Cloud. This includes supporting account managers in understanding client needs, turning those into effective digital solutions and providing technical support after launch. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with account managers to scope and interpret client requirements during pre-sales stages Communicate technical concepts clearly and confidently, tailoring explanations to suit non-technical audiences Set up and configure customer accounts and databases within the MDI Cloud platform Build, test and improve custom workflows using low-code tools, tailored to business needs Design and optimise AI prompts to drive intelligent automation and user interactions Translate client requirements into structured, logic-based processes Provide post-implementation support from a technical perspective, helping resolve issues and make refinements Document core configuration and workflow processes to support scalabilityRequirements: Logical thinker with strong problem-solving skills Basic understanding of programming concepts (e.g. variables, loops, conditions) Excellent English language and communication skills for client engagement and writing AI prompts Eagerness to learn and experiment with low-code and AI-driven tools Confidence to contribute to client conversations and explain technical features clearlyDesirable: Familiarity with platforms such as Power Automate, Scratch, Blockly, Zapier, or similar Experience using tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot Relevant degree or coursework in IT, STEM or digital technology (not essential)How to Apply: If you are interested in hearing more about this digital solutions technician vacancy or interested in applying for the role, please email me at or contact Principal IT Directly on LinkedIn.
