About the Role

We’re looking for a pragmatic Software Business Analyst to support multiple software and systems projects across a growing SME. You’ll sit between business operations and technical delivery turning real business needs into clear, workable solutions without over-engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, document, and validate business requirements
  • Translate needs into user stories, functional specs, and acceptance criteria
  • Facilitate workshops with internal SMEs and manage expectations across teams
  • Identify process improvements and automation opportunities
  • Support backlog creation, prioritisation, and UAT
  • Advise on system architecture, integrations, and data flows
  • Work with external dev teams to ensure delivery aligns with requirements
  • Produce clear documentation: process flows, diagrams, decision logs

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of software delivery (Agile or hybrid)
  • Office 365 user administration
  • Azure Entra / Active Directory familiarity
  • SQL Server basics (queries, data management)
  • Understanding of APIs, integrations, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP)

  • Experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Solutions Analyst
  • Ability to work across multiple projects in a fast-moving SME
