About the Placement
At De Vere Beaumont Estate – one of the UK's largest event venues – we are offering a 12‐month Events Sales Office Placement starting in September 2026. During your placement, you will spend most of your time in our Sales Office, getting involved in how enquiries turn into confirmed events. From first contact through to final details, you will see how events are shaped before they are delivered on the day.
You will support the team with a range of tasks, including:
- Responding to enquiries
- Speaking with clients to understand what they are looking for
- Helping to create tailored proposals for conferences, meetings, weddings, and social events
- Inputting bookings into our system
- Keeping records up to date
- Ensuring every detail is captured accurately for the wider team
You will work closely with both the Sales and Events teams, and you will complete a short rotation within Events Operations to see how things come together on the day. This will give you a well‐rounded understanding of both the planning and delivery side of events. You will be learning from people who know their craft and care about doing things properly. By the end of your placement, you will not just understand how events are sold and planned – you will have played a genuine part in making them happen.
Who Should Apply?
You do not need to know everything yet – that is the point of the placement – but you will need to be interested in events and open to learning. You will be someone who enjoys communicating with people and building relationships, whether that is with clients or colleagues. You will have good attention to detail, be organised in how you approach your work, and be able to manage a few different tasks at once. Because events can move quickly, you will stay calm under pressure and keep a positive, professional approach. You will also be reliable, proactive, and ready to get involved in a busy team environment. Previous experience in hospitality, events, or a customer‐facing role would be helpful, but it is not essential.
