Maintenance Assistant

Overview

Are you a skilled maintenance assistant? Would you enjoy maintaining our iconic historical building? We are recruiting for a Maintenance Assistant to join our team at De Vere Wokefield Estate in Reading. As a Maintenance Assistant you will work as part of the maintenance team responsible for making sure the property is kept to a high standard. The role will cover both reactive and planned preventative work and will also involve compliance work including property audits and recording important data such as meter readings. This is a full-time role which involves working between the hours of 8am to 4.30pm, with one late shift a week of 10.30am to 7pm.

Your commute: just outside Reading, we\’re 10 minutes from J11 of the M4, with fast and direct trains from London Paddington to Reading Train station. Responsibilities

• Perform reactive and planned preventative maintenance to keep the property in high standard condition.
• Carry out compliance tasks including property audits and recording data such as meter readings.
• Work as part of the maintenance team to support operations and guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience of basic maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrics and decorating
• The ability to prioritise work efficiently and keep people informed on planned completion timelines
• You are enthusiastic and enjoy working as part of a team
