Are you a skilled maintenance assistant? Would you enjoy maintaining our iconic historical building? We are recruiting for a Maintenance Assistant to join our team at De Vere Latimer Estate in Chesham.
Role Overview
As a Maintenance Assistant you will work as part of the maintenance team responsible for keeping the property to a high standard. The role covers both reactive and planned preventive work and involves compliance work including property audits and recording important data such as meter readings. This is a full‑time role with a schedule of 8:30–5:30 pm and 11:00 am–8:30 pm, with weekends on a rota basis.
Responsibilities
- Reactive and planned preventive maintenance tasks across the estate
- Perform basic maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical and decorating
- Prioritise work efficiently and keep people informed of planned completion timelines
- Carry out compliance work such as property audits and record‑keeping, e.g., meter readings
- Collaborate with the maintenance team and other departments

Working Hours

De Vere Latimer Estate, Chesham. The location is just 5 minutes from junction 18 of the M25 and is close to public transport including Chalfont and Latimer station, making it accessible from Hemel Hempstead, Watford and High Wycombe.
