About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and organised HR Administrator to join their team from 2nd October 2026, following the half-term period.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who is looking to develop their career within a busy school environment. You will provide essential administrative support to the HR team, helping to ensure that staff records, recruitment processes and day-to-day HR administration are managed accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing day-to-day administrative support to the HR team
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR systems
- Assisting with recruitment and onboarding processes
- Preparing contracts, letters and other HR documentation
- Supporting with pre-employment checks, including references and DBS documentation
- Maintaining staff absence and attendance records
- Assisting with payroll and timesheet administration where required
- Responding to staff queries professionally and promptly
- Supporting the organisation and maintenance of confidential HR files
- Assisting with general school administration when required
- Ensuring HR processes are completed accurately and within deadlines
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience in HR administration or general administration
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- A professional, approachable and reliable manner
- Experience working within a school or education setting would be advantageous but is not essential
