SEN Teaching Assistant – Post-16 Provision | Stanwell Moor Location: Stanwell Moor Role Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only Start Date: September 2025 Salary: Competitive, based on experience Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs? Do you have a genuine interest in helping students develop life skills, employability, and personal independence? We are working with a specialist SEN school in Stanwell Moor who are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their vibrant and supportive team. This is a post-16 setting, catering to students with a range of learning difficulties and additional needs, focused on developing real-world skills and confidence for adulthood. About the Role: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Support learners aged 16–19 with their educational, social, and emotional development Assist students in developing employability skills, independence, and personal growth Work closely with class teachers and SEN professionals to create a positive and engaging learning environment Support practical and vocational learning both inside and outside of the classroom Help deliver personalised learning programmes and contribute to progress tracking Provide pastoral support and help build students\’ self-esteem and confidence About You: Previous experience working with young people with SEN (desirable but not essential) A calm, patient, and flexible approach to working with students with varying needs Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships A genuine passion for supporting learners with additional needs in their journey to independence Willingness to support personal care, where required Why Join This School?
