Principal Education is recruiting a committed and engaging Science Teacher to support secondary schools across South London. We are working with a range of schools seeking strong practitioners who can deliver high-quality Science lessons and maintain high standards of teaching and learning across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 opportunities may also be available, depending on experience). This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is confident in the classroom, adaptable, and passionate about Science education.

The Role

  • Delivering engaging and structured Science lessons
  • Supporting pupil progress
  • Contributing positively to the wider school environment
  • Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 (Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics)
  • Planning and delivering lessons aligned with the national curriculum
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively and maintaining high expectations
  • Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback
  • Supporting practical lessons, experiments, and lab safety
  • Working collaboratively with the Science department and wider staff team

These are full-time, long-term roles (Monday to Friday), offering stability and the opportunity to make a real impact.

Essential Requirements

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Science in UK secondary schools
  • Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom presence
  • Effective behaviour management skills
  • A professional, organised, and proactive approach
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Right to work in the UK
  • A recent Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Based in South London or able to commute reliably

Pay & Benefits
