Principal Education is working in partnership with a well-established East London secondary school to recruit a Science Teacher for a long-term maternity cover position, starting after the February half term. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Science Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school community on a long-term basis.
The Role
- Teaching Science at KS3 and KS4
- Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons
- Ensuring strong behaviour for learning and positive classroom routines
- Assessing and tracking student progress in line with departmental expectations
- Working collaboratively within a committed Science department
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds QTS (or equivalent recognised teaching qualification)
- Experience teaching Science at secondary level (ECTs welcome to apply)
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Able to commit to a long-term maternity cover role
