Location: East London

Principal Education is working in partnership with a well-established East London secondary school to recruit a Science Teacher for a long-term maternity cover position, starting after the February half term. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Science Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school community on a long-term basis.

The Role

  • Teaching Science at KS3 and KS4
  • Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons
  • Ensuring strong behaviour for learning and positive classroom routines
  • Assessing and tracking student progress in line with departmental expectations
  • Working collaboratively within a committed Science department

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds QTS (or equivalent recognised teaching qualification)
  • Experience teaching Science at secondary level (ECTs welcome to apply)
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Able to commit to a long-term maternity cover role
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality Science education
